I promise this is the real one!
Alright so after much debate, I think I finally decided to go with tumblr as a blog platform, simply because…well its much simpler than the blogspot platform I think. Also I found this pretty cool theme that seemed cool since I am probably just going to post pics of work and stuff.
Oh and after much thought, I figured “F this” sounded slightly self-condescending, so I thought “F that” would be more appropriate! Same idea, just a mildly different approach with the title. And at least this time I got the URL that i wanted!
F that tumblr!
Laser Cut Cement/Elephant Print Longboard!
So at first I was really psyched about this blog thing, but its seems so complicated sometimes. Anyways, on to the good stuff!
So today I brought in a blank Bustin Maestro longboard today to the laser cutting shop. The idea I had in mind was a cement/elephant print longboard, and I was stoked to see how something like this would turn out. Anyways here is a pic of it! I thought it came out pretty damn dope!
So this is how it came out, as you can see I am going to go in a probably touch up some of the burning, but i think even the flaws make it look pretty cool.
But now it comes down to what step do I take after this.
My original plan was paint it to be like real cement print and do a gray layer with the cracks laid in as black. But after seeing the beauty of the laser cut, I am scared the paint will cover up the aesthetic. This made me think that I could do a gray wood stain over the whole thing, which would keep the wood look but also reflect the original cement material/pattern.
I need some help, should I:
Paint Black and Gray?
Gray Wood Stain?
Or Leave as is?

Trash Toy!
So as uncool as it sounds, this was a pretty awesome project that I did for my toy design class. The objective was to collect trash and make a toy out of it. As a class, we exchanged trash at our “trash swap” where I found a few of the pieces I used to make my toy. I ended up using a rice scoop thing, a margarine container, this like plastic pipe thing, these strange knob things, shoelaces, a ball, forks, a plastic container top, and random plastic pieces from stuff.
After I got all my stuff together I kind of just went at it freestyle, and everything seemed to come together. At first I really didn’t know what everything was going to look like but every piece seemed to work pretty seamlessly. The plastic pipe I got from class fit in those like knob things, so when I cut them in half they made nice arms. And the ball fit inside the margarine container, which gave me lots of room for opportunity.
I then cut off these notches from one of my other plastic pieces and hot glued them to the “arms” i was making to make joints- so my figure could have moving arms!
